If you have a license from a Commonwealth country, then you are able to drive with that license here in Kenya for a period of 90 days. If it is not a license from a Commonwealth country then you have to have an 'international' license.
See the policy brief on the right.
Yes you do.
We have a 24 hour break-down service, with a team of excellent mechanics. We send you out on your safari with a comprehensive list of telephone numbers, so that you can contact us at any time.
Currently (2008) fuel/diesel/gas goes for slightly more than KSHS 100/ per litre.
You can use a rough guideline of 1 litre of diesel per 15 KM.
In Kenya we drive on the left hand side of the road. The traffic rules and regulations are much like the British system too. However, the road conditions are rather unlike Western nations' roads!
Firstly, your health and safety is most important. Are the clients injured? We strongly advice our clients to purchase a temporary insurance with "Flying Doctors". This is very reasonably priced and enables you to be aero-evacuated from any location within Kenya whether sick or injured as soon as possible. Otherwise your safety is paramount and we will get to you soonest.
